Dr. Thoa Ho

Dr. Thoa Ho has always been interested in the effects of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She benefited from the power of Chinese Medicine while raised in traditional Vietnamese family. Dr. Thoa Ho comes from a family with generations of doctors in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her father served as an oriental physician (barefoot doctor) and her ancestors were acupuncturists and herbologists.

Since early childhood, her goal has been to relieve human beings from the suffering of diseases and other issues like Infertility, Heart Attacks, Strokes, Pregnancy, Anxiety, Weight Loss etc. After studying chemistry at University of Florida, she went on to earn her Masters in Oriental Medicine as well as a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Thoa worked with her sister, Dr. Su Ho, at Elements Wellness Center in Tampa. During her time there, she traveled back to Texas for Acupuncture-Oncology training at MD Anderson in Houston. She became more and more attracted to the philosophy of Chinese Medicine by maintaining health while still being healthy and relieving bodily imbalances as early as possible. This led to her belief that the practices of both Chinese and Western Medicine should grow to recognize one another. She help build that bridge by working for the Integrative Department at Florida Cancer and Specialist Research Institution (FCS).

Doctor of Oriental Medicine
Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Thoa soon realized the positive results for patients suffering with chemotherapy side effects (i.e. nausea, dry mouth, etc).  After working at FCS and finding no definitive treatments for chemo induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), she wanted to research more about CIPN. This curiosity led to her doctoral research program at Texas Health and Science University in Austin, Texas. Dr. Thoa conducted research on CIPN while residing in Orlando, while the majority of her didactic work was completed in Texas. She presented her dissertation for the Texas school boards in June 2016 following the completion of her doctoral program.

Dr. Thoa also specializes in infertility. She worked with the Reproductive Group in Tampa to help individuals undergoing various Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) including in vitro fertilization and intrauterine insemination. She also assists couples who want to conceive naturally.

Dr. Thoa is a national board (National Certification Committee on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) certified Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and a Licensed Acupuncturist in Florida.
